This morning we thought we’d throw together a quick touch of outfit inspiration for your Friday browsing. We’ve been putting together a Pinterest board for a while now based around the colour White. We all know that white has a bit of a stigma (essentially that it makes you look larger than you are) and also that can it can be extremely hazardous for anyone clumsy (keep the red wine away!) but we love how clean and fresh an all-white look can be, especially in the summer.

It’s easy, minimal, and the colour white reflects light, so it also keeps you cool. We hope you love some of our favourite Pinterest collected White pieces for some summer styling inspiration. There are so many more we could have mentioned: shirt dresses, blouses, white jeans, etc, but we boiled it down to our favourite white pieces and looks for the summer. We hope you enjoy!

The White Mid-Length Skirt:

We absolutely LOVE a white, mid-length skirt for summer. Though entirely different styles (pleated, fairy-like and crochet), these three skirts are so versatile. They can be paired with pretty much anything for a statement, but polished look. We also love the mid length as it keeps the fabric flowy and airy, perfect for those hot summer days. This is hands down one of the most elegant white pieces for summer, and incredibly easy to style and accessorise up, or down.

The Full White Set:  

We absolutely love love these looks too! For a unique but easy summer look, pair a few white pieces together, and throw a statement white jacket on top. This immediately makes you look put together, and also has the effect of making your outfit seem more expensive than it is- white is just one of those colours that seems more affluent. The jacket is really a key piece on top as it pulls the entire outfit together. This all white look is the perfect way to have an easy, but chic, summer outfit. The Classic White Blazer:

Obviously, the classic white blazer would be a favourite for us given our love of pairing blazers over pretty much anything. We love this blazer because it is so easy to style, and white is the perfect colour. It brightens and freshens up any outfit, it matches absolutely everything, and it makes you look clean cut wherever you go. The light white blazer is a non negotiable in every woman’s summer closet. Our founder Charlotte has about 10, from Zara, Club Monaco, her own line, and several others. We currently don’t stock any light white blazers, but are thinking of bringing in a scalloped line similar to the one below- what do you think? We love the feminine touch this adds, and this piece is truly one we cannot live without this, or any, summer.

The White Statement Piece:

Whatever this piece is, you’ll know it. Look for something with an interesting cut or hidden detail, and make sure that it flatters your body. We would advise against buying white off the rack, as it is not the easiest colour to hide if the piece does not fit well. The white statement piece is excellent. It’s not too loud, but it’s totally elegant, and draws attention to you in all the right ways. Find a piece that elongates and flatters, but be sure not to crack this one out at any weddings.

Some Advice for Styling White:

White is truly one of the best colours, and we wish it was more appropriate to wear it all year round. For most women, it brightens their complexions or brings out a summer tan. However, we do have some tips for styling white, should you choose to experiment with the colour this season.

1). Check your underwear. You heard us. Before you leave, make sure you can’t see through that skirt or those shorts. You’ve been warned.

2). Be careful when putting on white tops/jackets over makeup. Make sure to cover your face or be extra careful so as not to stain the clothes.

3). Nude shoes tend to look better with an all white look than white shoes. Enough said.

4). To add colour and vibrancy- accessorise! But don’t over do it. We’d pick 1 loud item with your all white outfit. Our Bondi Box in a Pop of Yellow is the perfect example. Have a clean look with 1 stand out item, unless ‘eclectic’ is your look.
